When requested what it was like working with Kilmer, Russell defined that it was completely terrific after which went on to share a narrative in regards to the two of them sharing some nice goodbye presents:
“In these days, particularly if you had been working with folks, you’d get them — typically on the finish of the present, you’d get presents or commerce presents. It is not obligatory. It is not one thing that you have to do or that they have to do. And so I requested my driver to see if he may get ahold of Val’s holster and gun and hat and chair together with his title on the again, take an image, after which in that image I wished to have this factor. It is the top of the present and it has been a battle and we have all gotten by way of it very nicely, and I give Val this current. And he appears at me, and he turns to his driver and he says, ‘Give it to me.’ As a result of what I had gotten Val was a plot at Boot Hill. And what Val had gotten me was an acre of land overlooking Boot Hill. Doc Vacation is all about dying. However Wyatt is all about life. It is in that final scene. We simply checked out one another and went, ‘Effectively, I suppose that just about says all of it.'”
The 2 principally managed to do the actor’s model of when a pair by accident find yourself proposing on the similar time, and it reveals simply how in sync they had been with their characters. As portrayed within the film, Vacation and Earp had an extremely deep friendship, and it seems like a few of that carried over to Kilmer and Russell as nicely.
